On 28 October, our Chairman Benny Chong attended the inauguration ceremony of Vietnam’s National Innovation Center (“NIC”) at Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park and the opening of the Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2023.  These marked an important milestone in creating Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem.

The NIC was established to promote Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem and to foster collaboration among domestic and international networks, with an aim for Vietnam to become an innovation hub in the region and the world.

Minister of Planning and Investment, Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, emphasised the importance of this event in promoting national innovation activities, connecting communities within the ecosystem and introducing both Vietnamese and international innovative technologies and products.

Prime Minister, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, also attended the ceremony, and noted the importance of new policies and guidelines issued to support the development of science and technology for Vietnam.

VMS was pleased to be a part of the ceremony and to have engaged in discussions for potential future collaborations.
